The finish undergoes a 5-stage pretreatment and polyester powder coating, tested to ASTM B117 standards for corrosion resistance—making it suitable for harsh environments. The VTRI’s electrical system features long-life LEDs paired with high-efficiency drivers, delivering L80 performance beyond 60,000 hours. Dimming capabilities (0–10V) come standard, and optional microwave sensors allow for occupancy-based lighting control. When motion is detected, the fixture shifts from standby to full brightness, conserving energy while enhancing safety.
