Privacy
HeyeBeam logs anonymous usage events to improve search quality. We do not use cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not retain your IP address. You are not asked to log in; you do not have an account.
What we log
- The search query you submitted.
- How many results were returned.
- Which result, if any, you clicked.
- Whether a query resulted in zero matches.
- A random session ID generated per browser tab. Not tied to you. Reset when the tab closes.
- The first 256 characters of your browser's User-Agent string.
- The page path you were on.
What we do not log
- Your name, email, company, or any identifying information.
- Your IP address.
- Cookies or persistent identifiers across sessions or devices.
- Any data from pages outside HeyeBeam.
Retention
Events are kept on a 90-day rolling window and then deleted.
Why we log this
Every query that doesn't land on a useful result is a signal that HeyeBeam's coverage or search quality needs to improve. We review the top queries that returned zero matches weekly and feed them into the ingestion backlog.
Sale of data
We do not sell or share telemetry with third parties.
